Thank you for caring about our environment. Did you know that when you reduce, reuse or recycle trash, you are helping to conserve natural resources, energy and landfill space? When you reduce the amount of trash you create or reuse items more than once, you are saving money for your family, and helping the overall economy by creating new recycling jobs.
In our region, the cities, towns, counties, and Native American Indian Communities offer residents numerous ways to help the environment through waste reduction and recycling programs. Recycling programs vary slightly from community to community, and we encourage you to contact your local jurisdiction for more information on the programs offered in your area. We have provided contact information for your community below. You can also contact the Maricopa Association of Governments at (602) 254-6300 to learn more about regional recycling efforts.
“Think Before You Shop” Holiday Recycling Videos
Visit our “Think Before You Shop” holiday recycling video page. The Maricopa Association of Governments, in cooperation with its Solid Waste Advisory Committee and Valleywide Recycling Partnership, has produced a series of videos designed to inform residents on how to reduce trash during the holidays. The fast-paced 30-second videos encourage residents to “Think Before You Shop” and provide ideas on how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
