Jefferson St. Phoenix, AZ 85003 Description: This free training will provide information on how interventions and programs can provide culturally appropriate service provision to victims and survivors from the Gender/Sexual Minority community. It will dispel myths, identify barriers for safety and generate ideas on improving cultural competency. Topics covered during the training will include: Understanding the Gender and Sexual Minority and LGBT Communities Use of respectful language Status of Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Impact of Violence against GSM/LGBT Communities How to help Programmatic report from a shelter serving GSM and LGBT victims of domestic Violence
