In July 2018, MAG hosted the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. Twenty-five students from 17 African countries attended a half-day training to learn more about MAG activities, including regional transportation, human services, information services, communication and information technology. The group is part of the 2018 Public Management Cohort being hosted by the College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University.
