Did you know that the Maricopa Community Colleges is contributing to our region through an economic impact of $7.3 billion statewide? READ MORE  (following is the expanded text) The Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) is the largest provider of public higher education in the State of Arizona. Here are some additional facts:

  • (MCCD) employs  10,750 full- and part-timers with payroll of approximately $530 million.
  • MCCCD spent $362.8 million to support operations. The net impact of MCCCD payroll/expenses in Maricopa County was about $733 million.
  • 89% of MCCCD’s students stay in Maricopa County after college.
  • The accumulated contribution of former MCCCD students amounted to $6.3 billion/year in added income in the Maricopa County economy.
  • Arizona as a whole will receive a present value of $25.7 billion in added state income over the course of our students’ working lives.
