PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RESULTS OF THE PERFORMANCE AUDIT OF THE MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS REGIONAL STRATEGIC TRANSPORTATION INFASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT PLAN

Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
MAG Office, Suite 200 – Saguaro Room
302 N. First Avenue
Phoenix, Arizona 85003

The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) will conduct a public hearing on the results of the statutorily required performance audit of the MAG Regional Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Investment Plan. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on the results.

As part of the statutes governing Proposition 400 and Proposition 479, a performance audit is required every five years. Since June 2025, MAG has worked closely with the Arizona Auditor General’s contracted consultant, Sikich, on the latest iteration of the audit. The final report contains recommendations which necessitates that MAG facilitate a public hearing to receive feedback.

The audit documents are available for public review on the Arizona Auditor General’s website at https://www.azauditor.gov/maricopa-association-governments-regional-transportation-plan. Accommodations for reviewing the draft document at the MAG Office may also be made by contacting Edward Brown at the telephone number below. Public comments are welcome at the hearing or in writing to the address below by 11:30 a.m. on August 4, 2026.

Comments provided at the public hearing will be forwarded to the Transportation Policy Committee along with the audit document.
