Planner Megan Sebok
Interim Special Projects Administrator Matthew Finley
The Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee was formed by the MAG Regional Council in April 2025 after an extensive assessment of how MAG conducts regional human services planning. This resulted in the formation of the Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee and the dissolution of the Human Services and Community Initiatives Committee, the Human Services Technical Committee, and the Regional Domestic Violence Council. This was done to align regional activities with local priorities in a holistic, nimble, and action-oriented manner.
The Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee is conducting a call for projects. Anyone from the region can propose a project with the purpose of improving the lives of residents and strengthening communities. Each project is required to have a sponsor from the committee. The list of committee members is available here: MAG CICC membership. The proposals will be evaluated by the committee. Selected projects will be offered to the MAG Regional Council for approval and implemented in the Spring of 2026. This is an important opportunity to propose projects that will have a positive impact in the region. We encourage your support in promoting this opportunity and working collaboratively with the committee members to submit project ideas.
Please fill out the project form to submit your project. The deadline to apply is January 6, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Amy St Peter, MAG Community Initiatives Director, at [email protected].
The purpose of the Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee (CICC) is to collaboratively improve the lives of residents and strengthen communities in the region.
The Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee has 21 members including 14 elected officials from geographically diverse communities and seven community leaders from the following sectors: business, domestic violence response, faith, healthcare, housing/homelessness, nonprofit, and philanthropy.
The committee conducts a call for projects that will improve people’s lives and strengthen communities. Action teams are deployed with specific scope of work, timelines, and sets of deliverables to implement the selected projects. Subject matter experts serve on a variety of stakeholder lists to provide expertise on an on-call basis.
