The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) has been producing a wealth of information for many years. This data is central to its various regional planning activities, including transportation, water quality, air quality, solid waste, human services, urban growth and development and infrastructure planning.
Recognizing the importance of the data and the technical capabilities available at MAG, the Maricopa Association of Governments Information Center (MAGIC) was formed to encourage the efficient utilization of existing data and information, making the specialized information and services more available to member agencies, private sector businesses, individuals and other public sector agencies for requests outside the scope of the MAG annual budget and work program. In this way, MAGIC has also been able to use the extensive data and qualified staff of the Maricopa Association of Governments to enhance its ongoing maintenance and data creation activities.
