The average commute time in the Phoenix Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is 26 minutes. Understanding the population can assist businesses in determining locations for their potential workforce. MAG and its member agencies determined roughly 100 key intersections in the region to analyze.
For these intersections, MAG’s Transportation Modeling team created 30-minute (morning inbound) commute shed boundaries. These show the area from which a worker can commute to each intersection. Data was then compiled for each commute shed area and a commute shed report was produced.
