The study will assess existing and future travel demands within the study corridor and develop a program of recommended roadway and intersection improvements. These improvements would help accommodate future travel demands, improve safety, enhance regional connectivity, and support the planned development in the area. The study will evaluate the feasibility of widening Cave Creek Road to three lanes in each direction, seamlessly integrating sidewalks, shared-use paths, and bicycle lanes into the corridor, and prioritizing safety for non-motorized transportation users. The study also seeks to identify and implement necessary improvements to optimize local and regional mobility, thereby addressing traffic flow and congestion concerns. Access management issues will be carefully evaluated and addressed to ensure efficient traffic management while minimizing disruptions to nearby communities. The study places a significant emphasis on understanding the values and anticipated future transportation needs of the affected residential and business communities, ensuring that the proposed roadway improvements align with their long-term goals.
