US 60 Corridor Image Going East

Study Corridor

The US 60 East Corridor begins at the West at Ironwood Road and extends 5.5 miles East to Kings Ranch Road in the City of Apache Junction. The corridor transitions from a grade-separated freeway facility with four traffic interchanges to an at-grade highway with five signalized intersections.

Study Objectives

  • Understand the function of corridor study area as well as the impacts of key interchanges and intersections.
  • Build consensus between key stakeholders.
  • Establish a Corridor Vision.
  • Identify and evaluate roadway, traffic interchanges, and intersection improvement concepts.
  • Improve safety and enhance mobility while accommodating future travel demands.
  • Develop a short- and long-range implementation plan featuring projects that are ready for available funding.
