Community Initiatives

The Community Initiatives Division collaborates with local/tribal governments and community leaders to facilitate projects, policies, and planning that improve people’s lives and strengthen communities throughout the region. This includes legacy work addressing aging, domestic violence, and homelessness, as well as newer areas of focus in housing and emerging trends.

Since 1976, MAG has provided high quality data and a trusted, neutral forum to bring together diverse populations and perspectives to ensure all people have a safe home, healthy connections to others, and an opportunity to reach their highest potential. This includes work in the following areas.

  • Aging
  • Domestic violence
  • Heat Relief Network
  • Housing
  • Homelessness
  • Rio Reimagined (RIO) (new content provided in section 5)
  • Youth- feature teen dating violence awareness and the Youth Advisory Board
  • Call for projects- to be announced
