The goals of the State Route 74 Corridor Transportation Study are to provide a coordinated vision of the State Route 74 corridor across jurisdictions. This includes recommendations that enhance the mobility and accessibility of people and goods within the corridor in reflection of existing and future development plans, as well as identification of the necessary infrastructure improvements at the Interstate 17 interchange, US 60 interchange, and Lake Pleasant Parkway intersection.
The State Route 74 is an Arizona Department of Transportation owned and operated corridor with the study area represented by multiple jurisdictions, including Maricopa County, the cities is Peoria, Phoenix, and Surprise. The study corridor is approximately 30 miles long, from the intersection with US Route 60 to the system interchange with Interstate 17.
The study is anticipated to be completed late 2025. A study timeline is provided below. Public outreach will be conducted at key milestones as indicated on the graphic below.
A virtual public meeting is planned for May 21, 2025.
