The Regional Analytics Division is responsible for gathering, maintaining, and analyzing regional and state datasets that support decision-making. These datasets are available to MAG member agencies and the public through a variety of reports and tools.

Datasets available from Regional Analytics include current Census Bureau data, analysis of the MAG Employer Database, long-range projections of population and employment, and data on imports and exports, parks and recreational activities, schools, land use, housing, and real estate sales. Downloadable GIS files for topics including jurisdictional boundaries, Census Bureau geographies, employers, long-range projections, bikeways, rail lines, and streets.

MAG hosts free training sessions on how to use the interactive map viewers and data explorers to create custom maps and reports on a number of different topics.
