Each year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development releases a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the local Continuum of Care to apply for funding with the goal of ending homelessness. Funding can be used to quickly rehouse homeless individuals, families, persons fleeing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, and youth while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness. A complete description of the requirements and regulations can be found under Federal Regulation 24 CFR part 578.
The FY 2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity is expected to be released by HUD in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the local project scorecards are posted and publicly available. This year, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications and review their scorecards on nofo.azmag.gov. The Maricopa Regional Continuum of Care will post updates, a timeline, and relevant documents when available. Please contact Katie Gentry with any questions or comments.
